Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have TWO new Amstrad games!…

It’s a good Amstream when we have a new Amstrad game, but this week we have two! 🥳 We start tonight with…

⛏️ “Mine Escape” ⛏️ In this adventure maze game, you’re a miner stuck down a dark dangerous mine after the lift breaks down. Scattered around it are the tools needed to fix it – but you’ll have to find the keys to open the locked doors to get to them whilst avoiding all the spiders, bats and ghosts down there! This is the 2nd game from new coder Capasoft who previously gave us the lovely “Jax The Dog”, and we’re looking forward to checking this out! Next up is…

🐜 “Nita” 🐜 We’ve seen this great platformer before in the CPCRetroDev 2023 competition where it achieved 4th place overall! haThus produced an excellent game where you play as an ant collecting her eggs avoiding wasps, spiders, bug spray, etc over 40 screens – it’s high ranking was very well deserved! The graphics were done in the Amstrad’s ‘mode 1’ 4 colour mode, but here in this new update they’ve been ‘upgraded’ to the ‘mode 0’ 16 colour mode! So we’re checking it out again here tonight to see what it looks like and what difference it makes! And we only got to briefly play it before on the CPCRetroDev Amstream, so let’s give Nita a good run!
