❓So what is a NES or Nintendo Entertainment System Anyways?
The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the Family Computer (Famicom) are two versions of the same 8-bit home video game console developed by Nintendo in the early 1980s. The Famicom was launched in Japan in 1983, and was designed to be a low-cost but high-performance system that could play arcade-quality games at home. It used a custom microprocessor and a hardware sprite rendering system that enabled detailed graphics and fast gameplay. The NES was launched in North America in 1985, after Nintendo redesigned the Famicom to appeal to the Western market. It had a front-loading cartridge slot, removable controllers, and a more angular shape. It also had a lockout chip that prevented unauthorized or unlicensed games from running on the system.
The NES and Famicom continued to be supported and produced until 1995. But eventually were replaced by newer 16 bit systems.

The NES and Famicom have since been re-released in various forms, such as the NES Classic Edition, the Famicom Mini, and the Nintendo Switch Online service. They have also been emulated by fans and collectors, who preserve and play their games on modern devices. The NES and Famicom are a main staple of many a retro gaming collection.

🎥 AVS RetroUSB HD Nintendo/Famicom replacement:
✅ play NES and Famicom games on a modern TV with HDMI output. Sadly it won’t work with older CRT TVs using an analog video signal. A hardware clone that replicates the original console’s functionality using a custom FPGA chip.
– Very Low Latency gameplay
– Nes, Famicom carts, Everdrive, Famicom Disk System
– Four controller inputs (original NES controllers and accessories, as well as wireless options like the 8Bitdo NES3012)
– Famicom expansion port
– Customizable color palettes and cheat codes

📖 The AVSRetroUSB is a great choice for retro gamers who want to enjoy their NES and Famicom games in HD quality and with some extra features. However, it is also more expensive than most clone systems, and it does not include any games or controllers in the package. You will have to find them separately or use your existing ones.

Bought the system with my own funds. This is not a sponsored or donated system/console. Just my opinion on something bought and used myself.
