The First Ever 3D Platformer: Alpha Waves (Amiga/ST/PC) – Review | Tamaracade
Tamaracade
By the end of the 1990s the 3D platformer had become one of the most popular genres in all of gaming, but where did it all start? In this video I take a look at Alpha Waves (released as Continuum in North America), the first ever 3D platformer.
This game was developed and published by Infogrames in 1990 for the Atari ST, Amiga and MS-DOS PCs. This game is a bit different from most 3D platformers as it’s all about expanding your mind and going on a psychedelic new-age journey (seriously) instead of your usual ‘save the world’ fare. But is this game any good? Watch to find out!
