WRC: Rally Evolved (also known as WRC 5 and WRC 2005) a racing video game for the PlayStation 2 that was released on 28 October 2005. On PS2 it’s a Europe Only release.

An innovation in the game is the ‘RANDOM EVENT ENGINE’ which creates random hazards like crashed cars and the like that the player needs to circumvent during the race.

Real licensed cars make this a very nice experience with known cars. The player plays through the 2005 WRC season. With the option to use a real-life calendar for the events or a non-real life calendar with the various races and countries selectable in the order of preference.

‼️The SD video has been upscaled to 4K so that YouTube kicks the proper encoder, otherwise this would be an even more pixellated mess. YouTube isn’t kind to SD quality retro gaming video these days. Even 1080p video gets messy easily….
