Pixels go hand in hand with retrogaming, with the onset of polygons in 3D gaming equipment the pixel had to make way for the polygon – but not really. The Pixel seems to be strong as ever before.
The Pixel display panel I am using is the Pixoo-64 by Divoom which allows 64×64 pixel images to be displayed. It can store a ton of images and short clips in a couple of ‘channels’. I have a game-room channel and a more ambient anime/art channel as well as an isometric/geometric channel that I can turn on at my convenience.
This is the gameroom-channel about 80% done, figured I’d show you. Mind you LEDs are hard to film photograph properly – while in person the Divoom Pixoo-64 looks fantastic on camera the whites can be a blue-ish tint and the blue leds have a lot of energy so they appear lighter / more intense on camera than they are in person. So the images in the clip are not totally representative of what you see on the panel.
Thanks for watching – LactobacillusPrime
