Keep On Dreaming – My Default 3D Mark Experience Back In The Day Was Far From Cutting Edge

Keep on dreaming… my PC rigs would be on the lower end most of the time.
I would dream of higher framerates, better graphical fidelity. And yet at the same time be amazed at what my little system was capable of running this – tech demo / benchmark.
Pentium II/233 Mhz 🐌
Gigabyte SLOT 1 Motherboard GA-686BX 😁
Voodoo3 3000 😁
512Mb RAM 😁
Windows XP SP3 32bit
I would marvel at the performance of systems running this in the local computer store – unobtanium for the most part. I was happy with the things I could get my hands on. Gaming I’d always be a couple of steps behind.
I’d delved into console gaming around this time, was playing the Playstation and N64, the Dreamcast and PS2 when it came out. For me it was a way to finally enjoy my games like others did – a great leveller with all getting the same experience. Still I could never stop being a PC gamer at heart. So always had some system capable of running games.
After the Voodoo3 I got myself an Nvidia card and a better CPU/plaform.
