Hey whatsup guys OSG here with a spare of the moment video. You may be aware that recently there has been a lot of excitement about the possibility of sonic the hedgehog coming to the C64….well its not a possibility no more…it was dropped this morning for free download and I immediately fired it up and was met with what I can only describe as witchcraft on the C64.
I can remember when Mario C64 was released and thinking wow it cant get better than this but what MrSid has accomplished with this game is nothing short of stunning and I wish I had waited another week to do the 100 best c64 games video because this is definitely a contender for the best C64 game ever made.
Right before I go any further into it can I please ask you all to go check out my good friend Lee aka retrochefs youtube channel and after you see what great content he has get on over to Segazombis video for youtuber of the year and drop him you vote in the comments. He really is an up and coming youtube star, his content is all up your street as its hardcore retro….ok so he’s from Essex but we will just let that one slide as he’s a top bloke….anyway the link is in the description below so be sure to get over there after you’ve witnessed the beauty of Sonic.
Right back to this… so this was only really announced in the last week or so, so to be getting it this early is brilliant….I have to say I was quite sceptical but hey its got everything that I remember from the brilliant master system version that its based on.
My only gripe with the game is that for me it’s a bit too easy but I absolutely hammered sonic on the master system when I was younger so maybe that’s just me.
