[ARACDE/MAME] Football Champ – Longplay (1cc – 29 Goals Scored) [Tubers High Score Challenge]

Longplay / Speedrun for “FOOTBALL CHAMP” an arcade coin-op played in Mame!

This is for the “Tubers High Score Challenge” – and it was my pick this time! So I chose my favourite arcade coin-op as a kid (and something a little bit different to the usual shmups we get in the competition!) – Football Champ! (Also released with slight variations as Euro Football Champ and Hat Trick Hero). This game was *everywhere* back in 1990 to 1992 – from arcades, computer stores, chip shops, pubs, etc in the UK. And I loved it, and was one of the most popular and beloved arcade soccer/football games with lots of conversions under different names to home computers and consoles.

It’s years since I played it, and I’ve been unable to replicate my 17-0 win (!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEkyC7QJA5M) and that was the last time I played the game – how will I be nearly 10 years later with a week’s practice? Let’s find out! (Default settings)

No commentary or review here, just me simply playing the game and 1cc’ing it!

BONUS! On our live stream runs on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/xyphoe) we able to replicate the extreme rare and hard to pull off SUPER SHOT! (or SUPER SHOOT as it rather comically calls it in game!). You (1) have to have scored at least 1 goal, (2) be drawing or losing in the last 30 seconds of the match and (3) do a high pass to your captain in a very specific part of the pitch.
