Don’t You Just Love The Amiga?

Well I do! Here’s a nice 2001 demo running on the A1200.
During the 8bit era the MOS 6502 CPU was widely used in many of the systems like C64, AppleII and Atari 8bit range of computer systems. Moving on the 16bit era many systems used the Motorola 68000 in conjuction with the Z80 for sound, the NeoGeo, Megadrive/Genesis spring to mind. The Atari ST and the Amiga also used the Motorola 68000 but had different chips for graphics and sound. The pre-powerPC Apple Macintosh computers also were based on the motorola 68000 CPU. Both the Amiga and Atari ST were actually able to emulate those early Macs.
Back in the day the Amiga was far ahead of its time, all singing and dancing with stereo sound and thousands of colours on the screen at the same time. The AtariST was a very similar machine and many games can be found on both platforms.
