Special Pickup & Play (Game On Expo Gold NES Cart from Gamester81) 7th November 2015
Electric Adventures
Today I received a special package from John Lester (Gamester81) who is part of the Collectorvision team. Inside was my copy of the NES game that I wrote for the Game On Expo Championships held in Arizona earlier this year.
I did the all of the coding in the three games that make up the cartridge, combining original graphics, music and sound effects supplied by other members of the team into suitable formats to be able to work on the NES and it’s limited capabilities.
It was all done over a period of about three months. It was an interesting challenge but one that I enjoyed immensely. When I started I was not that familiar with the NES architecture or even 6502 assembly language. But I am now confident that I know the system quite well, and am planning on bringing out some more new titles on the NES.
There are still actually some copies of the cartridge available for sale, and if you are interested go to the Collectorvision Facebook page here:

Make sure you checkout the RetroUnlim web site, lots of great Youtubers who love retro gaming and collection.
