Creed 2 now has a confirmed release date of late November for its sequel to the blockbuster CREED, which is one of the movies in the ROCKY franchise.
The story plot for CREED 2 has not yet been released, but according to screenrant.com, there have been casting calls for someone to play the son of Russian Boxer Ivan Drago.
Well, a current MMA fighter named Sage Northcutt said in an MMAfighting.com interview that he recently sent in a audition tape in the hopes that they might be interested in selecting him for the role of Ivan Dragos son.
We all remember Ivan Drago as the tough as nails, steroid induced villain of Rocky IV, which came out in 1985 and was arguably the best movie of the franchise.
So, it makes sense with the renewed rivalry between the US and RUSSIA, for Sylvester Stallone to capitalize on these current events with Adonis possibly fighting a RUSSIAN for the title.
For fans of CREED, its known that Adonis Creed has festering emotions regarding Ivan Drago, since (spoiler alert from 1985), he was the man who killed Apollo!
So, Ivans Son, might be the next best thing to getting back at Drago himself.
This news is pretty cool to me, considering one of my next videos for the channel is actually about my plot prediction on what the new movie will be about, and I guess I may not be too far off.
And next, Did you know that the Family Matters house from the TV show is due to be totally demolished! Poor ol Steve Urkel must be bawling his eyes out.
Well, according to the City of Chicago Department of Buildings, the permit has already been approved for its destruction.
Sorta sad news that an iconic house from the series is going to be tore down to make way for a new 2 story multi-family unit.
The house was really only used for the shots for the opening scene and when the show wanted to pan out to the house to show where the family lived.
The actual show was filmed in a studio, so the interior of the house doesn’t really reflect the tv set inside that we grew to love.
So, if your in the Chicago area, you may want to go take a look at the house and get some pictures before its destroyed.
I researched the permit and didn’t see a date for the demolition, so as far as I know it is still standing right now. Ill link to the permit page and the homes address in the description section down below.
Then next up,
Most of the 90s kids remember that football headed cartoon Hey Arnold. Well the trailer is finally out, and it looks like 2 of the main unsolved plot threads will finally be explained in the movie.
The first plot thread is that Arnolds parents were presumably killed in a jungle adventure, which is why Arnold lives with his paternal grandparents.
And the new movie is going to finally answer the question of what happened to his parents.
The other unanswered plot line is whether his friend Helga will profess her undying love for Arnold. Yah, sorta a sappy plot, but the Hey Arnold fans have wanted to know, so this should make them happy.
The movie will premiere on Nickelodeon on November 24th, 2017 and the film will either end up being the definitive series finale, or maybe just a way to bring back the show for a future series.
Also, if you remember the 80s sitcom Perfect Strangers, you may enjoy this video that is a spoof called Perfect Stranger Things which merges the 2 shows.
Its got Balki and his cousin Larry, a demigorgon, and even the stranger things kids make an appearance.
Its really funny and Ill link to the full video in the description down below, for you stranger things fans.
And last news I have is that on December 8th, Motown Records is going to release 3 albums on VINYL from megastar and soulful singer Lionel Ritchie.
The albums are his 1982 album titled Lionel Ritchie, 1983’s Can’t Slow Down, and 1985’s Dancing on the Ceiling.
These 3 albums have some of his best hits of all time, so if you love Lionel, you might want to keep an eye out for these.
Vinyl records have definitely made a comeback in the last few years, and now were starting to see a lot of old material being re-released to keep up with that demand.
And that’s all the retro news I have for you this week.
