Guru Larry’s First Gaming TV Appearance

As it’s Christmas, I thought a lot of my fans would like to see my very first appearance on a gaming TV show…

This was me as a young cherub faced 14 year old going through his early 90’s mullet phase on the Chrildren’s Channel gaming show “Head to Head”, it was filmed in 1993 at the Carlton studios in St. John’s Wood, London and presented by Violet Berlin.

Anyhoo, it was on Super Kick off on the Mega Drive, and I’m not a lover of Football games to begin with, but I promptly lost thanks to Violet telling me the wrong buttons on penalties, hence why I looked pissed off at the end. But I did-reapply to appear on the show, and this time it was for Rock n’ Roll Racing on the SNES and I ended up winning the mountain bike!

Also, the screen we were looking at were tiny monitors, about 7 inches. bloody hard to see small characters.

But thought you peoples on the internets would like to see my first ever appearance!!!

Big big thanks to Rlyehfinland for having a much better copy of this video, than my crappy VHS recording that’ I’ve also lost.

You can see his channel hyar:

(Plenty more Head to Head episodes too there!)
