In 1994 a game dropped into my hands while working at the Gamesmen store. I had bought it day one not to know that it would later go on to become one of the most expensive games to find! Snatcher is one of Hideo Kojima’s earliest major achievements and just a sign of the craziness into his mindset! Taking advantage of the then newly developed CD system, Snatcher embraces influences from all sorts of movies. Terminator and Blade Runner being the most obvious here. This doesn’t diminish the game’s enjoyment. Instead it actually helps push the message home that when you are playing this title you are playing something very special indeed!
