For my FZ-1 I needed the 11 needle & 4 needle (11p / 4p) version. You can be unlucky and find the 4 pin connector is larger than the socket on the board, in which case you would need to do what was done to the original replacement on this 3DO. The replacement I installed was just plug and play and designed for an FZ-10.
