Alex Kidd in Miracle World SMS LP1

Back in 1986 Sega were trying to tackle Nintendo head on by releasing Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the Sega Master System (or the Sega Mark III) to take on the might of Super Mario Bros. Now Mario obviously won that battle. But it did show that Sega weren’t a company that would give up easily. Later they would use that game to help push the sales of Sega Master Systems and later the redesigned Sega Master System II’s.

In this video I reflect back on dealing with calls from gamers who got stuck in this game. That was a lot of callers for one game simply because it was the in built title in so many Sega’s that were sold here in Australia.

Enjoy the video and look forward to more as I continue this look back on a bygone era.
