Mark Plays… Nex Machina (PC)(Windows 10)

Nex Machina is an incredibly fast twin-stick arcade shooter created by Housemarque. It’s like the offspring of Robotron 2084 and Smash TV on steroids. There’s strategy involved and at times it’s pink bullet hell. It uses voxels and when items are destroid you see them splash across the screen.

The perspective can be a little disorienting but it must be Esscher – inspired with gravity working in different planes. The downside to this game on Windows is that it really really really wants to use the HDR mode baked into Windows. That would not be a problem if the Windows 10 HDR implementation as of 15-2-2020 still is utterly broken for many people.

System specs:

OS: 64 bit Windows 10 / 8 / 7. Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD FX-4300. Memory: 4 GB RAM. Graphics: 2 GB Video RAM – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R9 270.

The game also is available on Playstation 4 (in the video I erroneously mention Xbox One) which doesn’t have any of the HDR issues. On both PC and Playstation 4 (also the base release model) the game plays at a solid framerate and is buttery smooth – not so much in this capture as OBS must have struggled with the HDR signals.

They are transformative in a positive sense, we take clips from various sources to help create an atmospheric feeling that will help people in hard situations in their life. We also do not wish to use the heart of any piece of work that would perhaps decrease the market value of the original content, if anything we hope to promote the content so that people can reach out and subsequently increase the market value. Lastly these videos are to educate people in an entertaining fashion. Given these are very short videos, the short parts we use within them act as a catalyst to further reading
