Mark Plays… The Last Guy (PS3)(RPCS3)(Linux)

A downloadable PSN PS3 game from 2008. In this game you play a commander in the URF – a rescue force – that is hell bent on rescuing the human survivors of an alien attack which turns most folk that looked into the attack ray into zombies. The zombies are toast – but the humans who happened to not look at the beam were spared (sort of like Day Of The Triffids) and our main lead can herd them together and direct them back to a safe spot where they will be picked up by a large vessel transporting them to safety.
Well those people might have been smart enough to not look at the zombiefying ray but the angst, the stress and the whole ordeal has left them pretty much incapable of doing anything else but hide in buildings, parks, docks and what have you. It’s possible to control the line of people that forms behind you, you got some extra power ups and abilities but at all cost do you have to steer clear of the aliens that are patrolling the city.
The gameplay takes place on a top view map (satellite photo like) of quite some well known locations in North America, Asia and Europe.
There’s VIPs dotted around the map – rescue them for bonus points and unlocking bonus stages.
Quite like this game, really makes you want to rescue all the screaming little humans that you encounter.
Here I am playing the game on a Linux PC (i7 2600, GTX1050, 16Gb DDR3) running the RPCS3 Playstation 3 emulator.
