Gaming’s First Hedgehog! Spiky Harold Review – Tamaracade

Back in 1991, Sega released the mighty Sonic The Hedgehog. A fast-paced platformer that changed the landscape of gaming at the time. However, Sonic was not the first hedgehog in the world of gaming. I present to you, Spiky Harold from 1986, a platformer released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Commodore 16, Amstrad CPC and the Atari 8-bit computers. In this video, I’ll show you this game and see how Sonic’s long lost uncle stacks up.

If you want to try the 2006 remake, here’s a link. You might have better luck than I did.
