SAM Coupé | The Original Spectrum: Next?

This time I explore the ULTRA RARE 8bit British computer from 1989, the SAM Coupé. Designed to be the quintessential upgrade for Sinclair Spectrum owners for the 1990’s, being compatible with Spectrum 48K software but the system failed miserably.

With enhanced graphics modes, mutli-channel sound, 512K of RAM and backwards compatibility with Sinclair’s machine, why did it fail? I touch on that in the video.

Luckily we can emulate this expensive machine today with the fantastic “SIM Coupé” emulator by Simon Owen and I take a look at some of it’s games.
