Games That Broke the Rules: From Home to Arcade!
Old Style Gaming
Hey, what’s up, guys! OSG here with a video that’s a little different. Most retro gaming lists focus on arcade games that were ported to home systems. But what about the games that flipped the script and went from home consoles to the arcade?
The inspiration for this video came from watching Xyphoe, an awesome retro gaming streamer, playing Carlos Sainz: World Rally Championship on the Amstrad. It hit me—this is basically World Rally in the arcade, but the home version came first! That got me thinking… how many other games took this unexpected route? So, I dug deep and found eight classic games that made the jump from home systems to the big time in the arcades!
Sit back, relax, and enjoy some mind-blowing gaming history!
Featured Games:
Carlos Sainz: World Rally Championship → World Rally (Arcade)
Boulder Dash (Atari 8-bit) → Arcade

Lode Runner (Apple II) → Arcade
Choplifter (Apple II) → Arcade
Cosmic Chasm (Vectrex) → Arcade
Spelunker (Atari 8-bit) → Arcade
