[AMSTRAD CPC]⚡️AMSTREAM 🕹️3 New Amstrad Projects! “Saboteur II”, “Babaliba” & “Le Secret Du Tombeau”

Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have THREE new Amstrad game projects to check out!…

🥷 “Saboteur II” 🥷 – Turbo! (The ‘Alfest Mod’)
🐍 “Babaliba” 🐊 – New Amstrad conversion!
🤠 “Le Secret Du Tombeau” 🤠 – English translation!

We start tonight with…

🥷 “Saboteur II” 🥷 This is a classic and great game! But Ukrainian coder Alfest thought he could optimise the code to make it run faster… and WOW. I’m calling this the ‘Turbo’ version!! Just wait and see! Up to 9 selectable speeds to run the game at, top speed is literally unplayable it’s so fast!! As Alfest says himself – “The entire game code was rewritten with performance and playability as the highest priorities.” There has been dozens up dozens of bug fixes and improvements, including new graphics and sound effects, and gameplay improvements. We’ll have a full playthrough of a level tonight to check it out!

🐍 “Babaliba” 🐊 This is a new conversion of an old ZX Spectrum game released in 1984 by Dinamic software, from the ESP Soft team! It’s a simple adventure maze game set in the 19th century, with you rescuing your friend from a snake and crocodile infested palace and dungeon, stealing the treasure and a princess along the way whilst avoiding the Sultan’s guards! It’s brought to life by some lovely graphics and now music missing from the Speccy original. We’ll try and playthrough this tonight!

🤠 “Le Secret Du Tombeau” 🤠 This old French arcade adventure game from Loriciels in 1986 is a bit of a hidden gem, beloved overseas but hidden to UK CPC gamers – it was never released here, and all the in-game text is either in French or Spanish making it very hard to progress. Now thanks to Devlin and Jean-Marie we now have an English translated version – “The Secret Of The Tomb”! And I can’t wait to give it a good go now!
