My Ad Hoc Pi400 Elgato HD60S Capture Setup – Checking out PiMiga4 With Some Top Demos & 2 Games

Capturing the Raspberry Pi4/400 with the Treaslin stand-alone capture device caused the audio to desync. Basically the Treaslin is incapable of capturing anything without audio desync so it is a product one should avoid.

The Raspberry Pi4 I have a a beast of all trades and has been stuck in a high-capacity-passive cool block that allows for some pretty decent overclocking. It lacks a mouse and keyboard which makes the Pi400 machine better suited for PiMiga4 in my opinion.

In this video I check out some of the high-end demos that really are beyond what an A500/600 is capable of. I also check two shmups on the MegaAGS side of PiMiga.

PiMiga 4:
Is a project by Chris Edwards, a former Commodore Amiga technical services engineer, who aims to create the ultimate Amiga-like experience on Raspberry Pi 4 and 400. PiMiga 4 is a Linux-based operating system (Debian) that emulates the Amiga hardware and software, allowing users to run thousands of classic games and applications on their Pi devices.

PiMiga 4 is the latest version of the PiMiga series, which started with PiMiga 1.5 in 2020. PiMiga 4 has many improvements and features, such as:
– Bootable from a single USB device on Intel/AMD and Pi ARM series processors
– Pre-configured with WHDLoad, a tool that allows loading Amiga disk images directly from the hard drive
– Includes a large collection of games, demos, music, and utilities
– Supports HDMI output, wireless keyboard and mouse, and USB controllers
– Has a user-friendly interface with icons, menus, and wallpapers

PiMiga 4 is a free and open-source project that can be downloaded from Chris Edwards’ YouTube channel or his Patreon page. PiMiga 4 is a tribute to the legacy and nostalgia of the Amiga, and a way to enjoy its rich library of software on modern hardware. πŸ•ΉοΈ
