⭐️🕹️ “ALIENS” 128k Megahack!🕹️⭐️

“Aliens: The Computer Game” released by Activision back in 1986 was a groundbreaking game. It was one of the original ‘first-person perspective’ shooter games that you could control a person that could move about room to room, but you also had to control and look after a whole team at the same time! Not only that, it was genuinely scary! But it was also damn hard, in fact impossible without a map to hand! To be honest it rather spoils things and takes you out the moment having to pause the game and then refer to a piece of paper constantly. Thankfully though Amstrad scene legend Markus Hohmann has spent a huge amount of time updating the game to implement an in-game map that you can bring up at any time showing the position of your marines and the layout of the base! Plus graphical improvements to the sprites and backgrounds, a new intro, and a whole host of new options, controls and cheats if you want to use them! Does this now make the Amstrad version THE definitive one to play? Tonight I’m going to be checking it all out, and attempting to live longplay the game (without cheats) – just like I did all those years ago (for those who remember) on one of my very first ever Amstreams! ⭐️🖱️ Mouse Patched Amstrad Games! 🖱️⭐️

A few years ago a special hardware extension was made for the Amstrad called the “Multiplay” allowing extra joysticks and more importantly mouse devices to be connected to the Amstrad CPC! However we had some recent developments – a few months back the emulator “Retro Virtual Machine” added support for this device, so scenester “SyX” went about patching the games “Operation Wolf”, “Arkanoid”, “Batty” and “Classic Axiens” to take advantage of this! We’re going to test them tonight (plus extra hand/mouse camera!) and see how they feel and play!
