We’re going to be doing something a little bit different tonight! “Antstream Arcade” are a relative new retro gaming online streaming service (available on PC, Mac, Linux, Android, Amazon Firestick, Xbox just announced, etc) with thousands of old games, and they have been recently expanding their Amstrad library. The coolest thing they offer is online play with tournaments, challenges and leaderboards for your high scores! I’ve been streaming on Twitch using their service for over 2 years and it’s been great fun, and this week they’ve given me my very own official global tournament on their platform! Which is a very big deal because many thousands of players will see this! Of course I HAD to choose an Amstrad game, so I picked the classic “Who Dares Wins II” – and that’s what we’ll be playing tonight for the main part of the stream! How well can I perform in my own tournament?! If you have your own Antstream account do feel free to join in, I will check in on the live leaderboards and scores throughout the stream!
For the rest of the night I’m setting myself a challenge! To take over the leaderboards on the rest of the Amstrad catalogue of games on Antstream!! Can I hit the #1 spot on games like “Prehistorik 2”, “Rex”, “Cybernoid II”, “Cauldron”, “Splat!”, “Ninja Massacre”, “Bug’s Quest For Tapes” and more … also maybe actually for the first time live… complete a loop in the game based on me… “Xyphoe’s Nightmare”?
