Michelin Rally Masters: Race of Champions aka Rally Masters was developed by Digital Illusions CE and published by Infogrames in 2000 on PlayStation & PC. I played both versions back in the day.
The Race of Champions – branded rally game features over 20 different rally cars. I would have loved to see the N64 port that was in development to be
completed but it got cancelled.
My verdict:
Graphics: 8/10 – quite decent use of the PSX
Controls: Dual analog stick, or action buttons
Replay value: it’s a fun game, racing more does improve your skills. Different cars respond differently as do the various road surfaces.
Reception was pretty good

CNet: PC 8/10
Gamespot: PC 7.2/10

IGN: PC 3.5/5 stars, PSX 5.2/10
Jeuxvideo: PC 18/20, PSX 16/20
PC Gamer (US): 78%
βΌοΈThe SD video has been upscaled to 4K so that YouTube kicks the proper encoder, otherwise this would be an even more pixellated mess. YouTube isnβt kind to SD quality retro gaming video these days. Even 1080p video gets messy easilyβ¦.
