Tonight on the Amstream we’re continuing our series looking at…

⭐️ “THE HIT SQUAD ⚽️ SPORTS COLLECTION”! 🏅
🕹️ Part #2 🕹️

This evening we continue our journey through of all the games released on the Hit Squad budget label! We’ve done several streams already with the “Arcade Collection” and “Movie Collection” – now we’re back with the second part of the ⚽️ “SPORTS COLLECTION”! 🏅 and whilst I don’t want to reveal spoilers, it’s an interesting line-up of games – some of which err definitely stretch the definition of ‘sports’!! One of which definitely isn’t one, and is in fact a single screen arcade beat ’em up! Another is a famous racing game! So don’t worry if you’re not a fan of games involving balls being kicked around a field… there’s plenty here for everyone tonight!!

So Ocean Software started their own budget label called The Hit Squad to re-release theirs and others (eg Activision, Domark, etc) big full price releases at pocket money prices (in 1989 I believe). They did this in 3 collections – Arcade, Movie, and Sports – the latter of which we’re of course doing tonight. What was cool (especially for collectors) is that they used a numbering system on the spine of the cassette cover so we can start at #1 (the earliest release) and work our way through them! The “Sports Collection” has 21 titles and we begin tonight at #11 – and we work our way through them using that numbering order, keeping it a surprise as to what comes next each time for fun!

It’s sure to be a nostalgic action-packed sporting AMSTREAM!
