You can get very high end emulation and proper gaming performance without a dedicated GPU when using a modern CPU with integrated graphics. Even triple A modern titles will run well if you don’t mind dialing down some of the settings can be experienced on some of those APU type chips.
In the little MSI small form factor system there is no room for a dedicated GPU so I don’t really have any other option. But it’s fine. Lots of storage and pretty much my main Emulation rig.

CPU: Ryzen7 5700G Cezanne 65W 7nm Chip with 8Cores, 16 threads (3800Mhz-4650Mhz Boost) my system boosts cores to 4646Mhz regularly and persistently depending on the load
Cooling solution: Noctua NH-L9a-AM4, Premium Low-Profile Brown
RAM: 32Gb DDR4 SDRAM SO-DIMM 3200 Megatransfers per second
Storage: SSD M2 and SATA storage
OS: Windows 11 Pro 64bit 22H2
