Looking back at classic beat-em-up games, you obviously have your Streets of Rage, Double Dragons, Final Fights, and Golden Axes (among many others). However, right at the top of that list among the greats are the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games!
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!! 7 year old me is stupidly happy with the current resurgence of TMNT video games over the last year. In today’s video, I take a look at the games found in the Cowabunga Collection and how they were made in the 1st place!
Also, let’s give a massive shout-out to Konami once again, who were kind enough to sponsor the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection segments in this video, and of course they provided me a code too for capture purposes!
Now, let’s just get one thing clear straight off the bat… THIS IS NOT A REVIEW… of course, it’s not… if you want to see a review, YouTube is full of them! It is, however, a look back at the history of these classic titles in a typical Complete History Slope’s Game Room way.
This video was great fun to work on as it covers almost everything Turtle-related up to the point when they left the pixel-art 16bit and arcade days behind and started to experiment with the 32bit generations! If you guys are interested, please do let me know as I may just expand on this Complete History and create a full-length version that covers EVERYTHING!!!!
Anyway, thanks for the support guys, and thanks to Konami for continuing to sponsor the channel once again with the Cowabunga Collection parts of this video.
