Nex Machina is a shoot ’em up video game developed and published by Housemarque. The game was released in June 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Windows. During development the working title was tentatively known as “The Jarvis Project” after veteran arcade game designer Eugene Jarvis who served as a creative consultant on the project.

As a twin stick shooter it is as good as they come, although it can wreck havoc with display settings on both Windows and Playstation 4 as the game insists on using HDR. Resogun on the PS4 was also created by the same software company. It’s Robotron, Resogun, Defender, SmashTV combined.

I like it a lot.
