Mark Plays… Sega Rally On PS3 (RPCS3) at 720p30 And Natively On PC at 1080p144

Ran the game in the RPCS3 PS3 emulator which does run the game at 720p30 and 60 in the menus. Compare it to the same game running natively on PC 1080p144 – captured both with OBS at 60fps.

While the PS3 version plays great at 30fps the PC version is much more responsive at 144Hz with very low input latencies – plays and looks ultra smooth. Sadly OBS can’t convey that and capturing at 60fps does cause the footage to not be as smooth and perhaps even a little more stutter in the capture than expected.

The PS3 version is very well done. Almost identical to the PC version in many ways. The PC can push the game a lot further though. If you do have access to a high frequency gaming monitor I’d advise you to give this game a whirl. It triumphs with low-latencies and ultra smooth visuals.

One of my favourite racing games for sure.
