More then 17 years later we see a remaster of this monumental Sega release. Shenmue II is a game that was destined to fail commercially but win the hearts and minds of the more dedicated gamers. It truly innovated for it’s time but was not given the wide audience it truly deserved on it’s original launch due to the limited release on Dreamcast in Japan and Europe only.
As the wait for Shenmue III draws closer to an end we finally get a chance to revisit this epic undertaking of a game that seemed to be more of a curse to the higher ups in Sega at the time.
Will this game win over new fans? Will it please the original fanbase? I’ll take a look thanks to my mates at Five Star Games!
