Alright! Well, after seeing a ton of social media posts from the cast of CREED 2, it looks like filming is over. According to Cheo Coker, the guy who worked on the script with Stallone said that Creed 2 is going to be a emotional journey for 2 fighters that are haunted by their fathers pasts.
And Coker did have a few things to say about the plot of the new Creed 2 movie as well:
He said – “It’s about the legacies of sons haunted by their fathers. Even though Drago is alive, his son is haunted by him because Drago is a broken man who’s trying to rebuild himself through the son.
Apollo Creed isn’t broken but because Apollo died, Adonis Creed is still haunted by his father’s death and how it defined him, what it is it means now to be a champion.
He’s aspiring to be a champion but also at the same time trying to figure out who it is he is. Particularly with Bianca, particularly also because he’s got Rocky who at this point becomes the new Mickey.”
With Dolph Lundgren coming back to reprise his role as Ivan Drago, and introducing Florian Munteanu to play his son,Vitor, were sure to see some of the greatness we loved about ROCKY 4 in this new CREED sequel.
And this footage of Ivan and Vitor Drago on the top of the Rocky Steps tells me that much like when Rocky travelled to Russia in Rocky 4 to fight Ivan Drago, were gonna see Vitor travel to the US to fight Adonis.
The juxtoposition between rocky and vitor may prove to bridge Rocky 4 with this new Creed movie in more ways than we may expect.
Im real excited for this news, cause Now that production has wrapped, it’s only a matter of time before the first official footage for the movie will be released.
