Looney Tunes Reboot In 2019

If you grew up watching  Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies shorts, you’ll be happy to know that Warner Bros. Animation has announced they are rebooting Bugs Bunny and all your favorite characters.

There is a twist though. The new Looney Tunes shorts will be drawn by a wide variety of well-known cartoonists who will be able to alter the styles for the cartoon characters from short to short. So the cartoonists are getting to have a lot of control over the look and the story of the new show.

Considering some of the recent news we’ve seen about cartoon reboots, im a little bit worried. But with Warner Brothers being who they are – I’m betting they wont let their principal characters get crapped on by some lazy cartoonists.

Warner Brothers has promised a thousand hours total of short form content, so some of the cartoons could be as short as 1 minute or up to 6 minutes or more each. Also, Warner Brothers plans to release the cartoon shorts in many different formats, so people can watch them in their web browsers, on mobile, and of course TV.

And with how many people watch shows on mobile devices, this is a good move for them. There’s no info on the launch yet, other than its coming in 2019. BUT We should start to hear more on the show and cartoonists as they start to get recruited for the show.
