Welcome back to RETRO CRUNCH, your nostalgia show about Current Pop Culture that relates to all things 70s, 80s, and 90s!

Alright.. Were gonna review the NEW Cobra Kai Trailer!

Right at the beginning of the trailer, we can see the lifestyle difference between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel larusso.

Johnny is obviously down and out and trying to find his calling by reviving his old Karate Dojo, while Daniel is happy, successful, and has a beautiful family.

Not sure if this is foreshadowing Daniel and Johnny basically trading places, but more and more, the trailers seem to lean that way.

And if you remember from the original series.. Daniel was the small, meek, nice guy.. And Johnny was the tough, popular, bully. Might be a change of roles here?

And then we get a clip of both of them training and preparing to reenter the Karate lifestyle. Johnny training in the reopened Cobra Kai Dojo, and Daniel in his swank casa in the Valley.

By the look on Daniels face, he looks sorta stunned. Like he didn’t expect Johnny to be reopening the gym;
this leads me to believe that maybe, just maybe he approached Daniel before even opening it to let him know.

And then theres this..

Daniel being the aggressor and kicking Johnnys drink out of his hand.

Obviously whatevers going on here, Daniel cant keep his cool. But to flat out roundhouse a drink out of a customers hand.. And inside the dealership no doubt.

Aint buying a car from Daniel.. Not after that, Ill go right on down to the Toyota place on the corner.

Ok, last clip. You can see that Daniel is reaching out to shake Johnny’s hand, and Daniel is poking fun of the fact he kicked Johnny in the face. Definitely something going on with this.

My theory is that this is a early clip of the show and Johnny is actually going to Daniels dealership to see if he wants to open the Dojo together..

Then, to explain why Daniel Kicked Johnny’s drink.. It could be that Johnnys son, or one of his kids is gonna join Johnnys Dojo. Im thinking it had to be something big to put Daniel over the edge like that.

One things for sure, this starts the feud again.. And its probably only downhill from here.
