Why Early Access?
“Animal Super Squad is a physics-based vehicle platformer that lets players create their own levels, but also play other people’s levels. The core gameplay is defined, but we would like player feedback when it comes to the level editor and other community-based features. We are also happy to hear player feedback when it comes to future content and the direction in which the game should go.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We are aiming for a quick early access period where we release early 2018, but this could be subject to change depending on the player feedback we recieve.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“We hope to shape and improve the level editor based on the feedback we recieve from the community. We also want to make it as easy and user-friendly as possible to play other people’s maps if you aren’t interested in creating maps for the community yourself. We also want to increase the content of the core game as well, which means adding new characters, vehicles, and other unlockables.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“Currently, the game has multiple unlockable characters and vehicles, one forest world (with two more worlds coming in quick succession), and a robust level editor and an accompanying level browser to browse through player-created maps.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“We plan to gradually increase the price as we ship new content and features.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“We would like the community to provide feedback on the level editor, its usability, and what things they would like to be able to create with it, but also when it comes to ideas for new content such as new characters, vehicles, and unlockables.”
