Remakes, HD remakes of remakes. Remakes have always been present, often on the old computer systems in the shape of ports licensed or unlicensed. But on a lot of the disc based consoles often collections of arcade game ports were released often sporting pixel perfect arcade copies of the original arcade cabs playable in the comfort of your own home.
Things changed when the use of ‘ enhanced graphics’ became more commonplace featuring in the port of arcade games. Something I am in two minds about. Some are done right others just make the game look out of place with dated gameplay mechanics that don’t suit the graphics.
