Enjoying the Back Yard & Upgrading My Old MacBook Pro (2012 Edition) With An SSD

A nice Saturday filled with back yard enjoyment outside and a necessary hardware upgrade to elongate the life of my old 2012 MacBook Pro. It’s 5400RPM 500Gb HD was seriously bogging down the machine sporting 8Gb of RAM and a core i5 at 2.5Ghz.

This video shows that it can be quite beneficial upgrading the harddrive of an older machine with an SSD.

Enabling TRIM on the SSD is done by typing in:
sudo trimforce enable

This will make sure your drive will remain speedy and healthy. (Thanks Pacbilly!)
