We move on to Columns. Sega’s attempt to tap into the puzzle gaming boom that erupted thanks to Tetris. Not created in house as they sort the rights from the game’s creator who had previously released this on the Atari ST. I did find it a struggle to get this into a video but still… I tried nonetheless! Even the official blurb on the box shows how hard it was to push this game:
“Drift back to ancient Phoenicia and challenge yourself with Columns, a game favoured by ancient merchants. In this mesmerising pastime, tinker with you riches to align glittering jewels across, down or diagonally.”
Don’t get me wrong. I love playing this game. It’s just hard to market and talk about. You… just have to watch it being played or play it yourself! LOL
I’ll be running through each title in the amazing line up of Mega Drive games found on the compilation. All… 40… plus… titles!!! LOL
