PCSX2 (PS2) Improved Hardware Rendering With Ratchet & Clank ✅

Paradisegunshot ( https://www.youtube.com/user/paradisegunshot ) had pointed out that in the latest beta the mipmaping has improved and has got rid of the texture errors that pretty much ruined the Ratchet and Clank experiences when running the PS2 emulator with hardware acceleration turned on. For the game to display properly one had to resort to software mode which takes a higher toll on the PC.

Now with this latest beta those graphics texture glitches have disappeared and the game runs almost perfect with hardware accelerated graphics turned on. I demonstrate in the video. Mind you the OBS grabbed footage turned out to be less smooth than what I saw with my own eyes happening on the screen.

I also check out if Ridge Racer V has improvements in the graphics department running on the Emulator.

I am using the latest beta. I am always running the beta next to the latest stable release as to get more features, but sometimes trade off stability. The beta that I am currently using is PCSX v1.5.0-dev-1981-g820919c which is pretty stable on my system.

The hardware OpenGL/DirectX texture mapping on the polygons is buggy in some games like Ratchet and Clack. It is possible to play without the Render errors by switching the GSdx to Renderer D3D 11 (Software) or OpenGL (Software) instead of hardware. Interlacing to Auto and Texture filtering to Bilinear (Forced). In the Software render settings allow for ade anti aliasing (AA1), mipmapping and rendering threads 4 (I Have an i7 with 4 physical cores and 8 multithreaded threads, this works even better on Ryzen with multiple cores available). Software is slower but I do get full speed on my i7 and i5 machines with GTX 1060 and GTX 950
