The PSVR is a very nice high quality and comfortable VR Headset. I have also used the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and to them for me the PSVR compares very favourably. Why?
1. It’s perfect for people who wear glasses, it sits on your head like a baseball cap with the visor bit hanging in front of your face instead of being pressed against it
2. The viewing angle to me seems to be a bit wider than the PC competition.
3. The quality of the screens, although they do have a lower resolution, is excellent. Partly due to the use of rgb subpixels there’s hardly any screendoor effect. In (racing) games the details in the distance do sufferso it is a bit like being near sighted in some instances.
4. The price for a complete working setup is far less than what is needed on the PC side. But hardware requirements for the PC have recently been lowered so PCs might creep towards the PSVR price point a bit more.
5. Extremely easy to set up.
