Downloading the game seems to be problematic for quite a few people. While I managed to download it – I discovered it crashes right after the first menus on my PC.
This makes my First Windows Forza Horizon 3 Experience quite similar to my Forza 6 Beta and Gears of War experiences on Windows. I should have known better…All bought in the Windows Store. And all with a crappy installation first time experience…
How come M$ screws up the installation and running process of their games on PC so royally while third parties like Steam manage to successfully run and install many games on my system?
For now my only hope of playing this game – I was looking forward to 3 screen gaming – is to boot it up on the XboxOne…When I stream it to PC I can luckily still play it on PC albeit unplayable due to the lag introduced 😛
Let’s hope they fix these PC issues soon! Good thing it plays on the XBoxOne for me.
Update: For me removing my mic and webcam stopped the game from crashing; I reckon the game doesn’t initialize mics present properly. The Anna SatNav responds to voice commands on the XBoxOne version and it could very well be that the code of the game expects a ‘kinect’ and just screws up when another mic is present
