Emulation Of The Sony PlayStation 2 At 1080p – The Good, The Bad, The Ugly ✅

Emulation persé is not illegal, it’s a technique used to reverse engineer or re-implement functionality of software or a system on another system that is not compatible with said software or system by default. It provides a way to preserve access to systems and software after the hardware has failed. It can also serve to ‘enhance’ the original experience of the games played.
PCSX2 is a piece of software that can be used to do the latter. Imagine being able to play your Playstation 2 games at 1080p or even higher? Well you can stop imagining it, as it is a reality. Provided your computer has enough oomph to run things full speed. Luckily mine is so let’s take a look at the differences between the Swiss Alps Track running in both Gran Turismo 3 and 4.
I also show the advantages of hardware (D3DDirectX11, OpenGL Hardware mode) and Software rendering (DirectX11 Software or OpenGL software modes) on game graphics.
Software mode is by default more compatible and will get rid of graphics errors that can creep up using the hardware of the graphics card to render and texture the polygons and display the PS2’s special effects.
