Trying out the PCSX2 1.5 Playstation 2 Emulation GIT VBeta Build 2962016
Lactobacillus Prime
Not only can one emulate the Gamecube pretty well on today’s PCs it’s also possible to emulate the Playstation 2 full speed on today’s PCs with PCSX2. An emulator that has been in development for a very long time. It recently made quite a jump in compatibility and speed but it suffers more bugs / errors glitches in the games than the Nintendo Dolphin 5.0 emulator does. I reckon that’s also because the Playstation 2 architecture is immensely complex and difficult to capture. Check out my experiences with today’s PCSX2 1.5 build straight off GIT.
The system I am running this on:
950GTX Nvidia graphics card 2Gb RAM
i5 CPU 3.2Ghz max
64 bit Windows
8Gb RAM
Xbox 360 controller
Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard
Open broadcasting software 64 bit 60fps 1280×720
Mind you I am comparing a public full release of Dolphin 5.0 to a developers beta of PCSX2 1.5. So not really fair in terms of bugs and glitches.
