Retro Special – Amstrad GX4000: 25th Anniversary with Larry Bundy Jr

25 years ago, Amstrad attempted to enter the console market with a funky looking and potentially decent system… the GX4000. This machine has been with me for most of my gaming life, so I have a strong connection with it. I talk openly about the GX, chewing it over with a fellow Amstrad fan and popular Youtube personality Mr Larry Bundy Jr, AKA Guru Larry. We talk about the system and our personal stories about it, why it failed, what’s good about it, it’s part in gaming nostalgia and why we have a kinship to it plus other musings about Amstrad’s sleek but ultimately weak console.
