One of my favourite coin-ops of all time! Very hard, but great fun. Definitely one of the better film to game conversions and licences, exceptionally good for 1985! I follow the hard route, and like the easy and medium waves consists of 4 waves of 3 levels, the first 3 waves involves you stealing 3 Sankara stones that has a Mines level (rescue the children), Mine Cart level and then the Mola Ram temple with the Sankara. On wave 4 the temple level is replaced with an escape on the rope bridge level where you at last finally get to confront Mola Ram and defeat him! The games is won, but after that you get a bonus ‘challenge round’ where you loop around endlessly in the mines collecting golden idols until you run out of lives (which won’t take long!) to rack up a high score. 13 levels in total essentially!
