Yes!!! ANT ATTACK ON THE AMSTRAD CPC!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
What’s even more awesome is that it’s actually emulating the Spectrum original! With big thanks to “40Crisis” by coding and using a Spectrum emulator on the Amstrad CPC(!) this will allow you to load Specturm game dumps (TZX files I believe) and with some additional patch code (so that it addresses the Amstrad memory correctly, keystrokes, etc) we can now play Speccy games on the CPC! I think probably the older the game the more easier it would be to accomplish with more simple programming techniques at the time, but hopefully we’ll see more!
How weird it is emulating an Amstrad, emulating a Spectrum!! :O
If you didn’t know – Ant Attack is an absolute certified Spectrum classic! OK it doesn’t look much now, but in 1983 this was the business!!!
Controls –
V = move forward
C = Jump up
c+v = Jump forward
Rotate left = M
Rotate right = ,
S = short grenade
D = medium grenade
F = long grenade
G = very long
Change viewing angle :
Space = Up Left
0 (zero) = Up Right
Enter = Down left
P = Down Right
