Part 2 of the Tomb Raider retrospective is here! And it’s a special show, as we’re off to the cinema! Yep, we’re going to be covering Lara’s journey to the big screen – Angelina Jolie dons the twin pistols and stars in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life! And they’re both…um, well…they’re both there! In this video!
But don’t worry – there’s still some game stuff in this video. Alas, we come to the point where it all goes horribly wrong for CORE Design – having managed the series well enough with the first five games, they reach the PS2 and crap out Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness…alas, it’s a tragedy.
It wouldn’t be a Kimble video without some sort of extra content, and seeing as I rarely get much of a chance to talk about film, you can have a little history of videogame movies up to about 2001. And yes, this part was going to feature Legend as well…but the vid was already 30 minutes long by the time I got there. Legend will be in the next part, along with Anniversary, Underworld, and the 2013 game. Enjoy the video!
