[AMSTRAD CPC] Jim Power In Mutant Planet – Longplay & Review
Xyphoe
Review and longplay / walkthrough for “Jim Power – In Mutant Planet” on the Amstrad CPC!
This has been requested a few times, Jim Power is quite a rare game (and commands a high price on Ebay!) being one of the last commerically
released games on the Amstrad but also by Loriciels too on any format – the French company went on to release this a year later on the SNES and
went bust by 1994. What makes this interesting for Amstrad fans is that it wasn’t released on the Speccy or C64, and seemingly any other 8-bit!
So many are curious about this game, given the Amiga version had spectacular if eye-wateringly garish many levels of parallax scrolling… which
despite the back of the box and manual proudly describing isn’t available on the Amstrad version!
What we have here is an interesting platformer shoot ’em up with some nice animation, but little else to recommend it apart from the
action/frustration being broken up by a jetpack level.
