[AMSTRAD CPC] Ghost Hunters – Longplay & Review
Xyphoe
Review and longplay / walkthrough for “Ghost Hunters” on the Amstrad CPC!
Happy Halloween! And last Halloween video for the week! And for this I bring you a great little budget game, an early effort from both Codemasters and the Oliver Twins – they who brought you Dizzy!
Some great little touches in this game from the sampled speech, animated status bar, but best of all – and a really original gameplay twist – is the gun crosshairs on the screen which can be controlled at the same time as your character but best of all by 2nd player cooperatively!! First example of truly cooperative and collaborative multiplayer gameplay in a 8bit game? Let me know if there’s anything as inventive that came before this!
So run around a haunted mansion, shoot the ghosts, vampires, zombies, skeletons and much much more whilst collecting objects to activate lifts and other hidden tricks – so you can rescue your brother trapped at the top of the mansion and escape!
Brilliant value for a 2 quid budget game! Especially from around as early as 1986!
Request from “Horrorman Marc” to do this longplay 🙂
