[AMSTRAD CPC] Werewolves Of London – Longplay & Review

*** NOTE – First 1min11secs edited out of video due to copyright claim. This is where I showed the box art, and talked about the need to make a map and showed the map I made. Also missing the loading screen. Sorry guys! 🙁 ***

Happy Halloween! I used to be a werewolf, but I’m allright nooOOOOOWWWWWwwww!

Time to look at one of my favourite horror games on the Amstrad CPC given Halloween is coming up soon… it is of course Werewolves Of London – loosely based on Warren Zevon song of the same name (that you hear at the start of the video) and on the famous John Landis horror movie An American Werewolf In London.

Here you play a guy that has been given a lycanthropic curse by an evil family – you need to seek out and slaughter each of the family members around London – taking in Hyde Park, tube stations and it’s tunnel network and smelly sewers!

This is a great game that is also an Amstrad ORIGINAL before being ported to other 8-bit systems. It’s good apart from the fact that it’s maze like nature is ridiculously complicated by ‘warping’ areas and especially the sewer system that gives you no clue whatsoever where you are. A MAP IS ESSENTIAL! Which you can find on the CPC-Power website linked below. So the game feels rather unfinished which may have indeed been the case.

Anyway enjoy, and happy Halloween!
